Recently I had a friend contact me about creating a phone app that will help repel mosquitos. So I start investiagting his request to see if anyone else had come up with a App for this purpose. I found in my first Google search an App call Anti Mosquito. Obviously this struck up more interest in apps developed for the fishing and boating industry. Below are a few of the Apps I found useful.
This Mosquito repellent prevents you from getting bitten by mosquitoes and some other nasty bugs. The application emits a very unique high frequency sound (ultra sound) that the insects dislike. The pitch of the sound is so high that most humans will not notice anything.
Keep the application close to you and enjoy the outdoors without bites..
The app does not guarantee a 100% protection as there are over 3500 known mosquito species in the world and they all react slightly different to the repellent. Use the pitch selector to find optimal repelling frequency for the mosquitoes in your region.
The Fishidy app allows members to utilize all the features of their online service on the go. Anglers can record catches and data about their trip, share them with friends, and link them to the real-time locations on the interfaced Fishing Hot Spots® maps. The Fishidy app also allows anglers access to hundreds of pro-tips and the ability to upload pictures of their catches to the online “bragging board.” Because their entire network is map-based, it allows anglers the ability to easily discover patterns and trends from their results without keeping their own records. Want to know how you did on the lake last July? Just check the app. Want to know which dock you caught that 4 pounder of off three months ago, check the app. At its basic level, the Fishidy app is just a really user-friendly map-based fishing log.
Pro Angler is an app designed to be a one-stop shop for die-hard saltwater anglers. It contains a wealth of information on over 100 species of fish, pro-tips from guides in your location, weekly updates on what’s biting, a GPS based boat guide to help you navigate to hot spots and reefs, real-time marine weather updates, locations of over 1,000 bait and tackle shops, and more. It’s even got recipes from top chefs on how to cook up your catch… If it’s pertinent to saltwater fishing, it’s available on the Pro Angler app. Pro Angler is loaded with all kinds of features that will help anglers put more fish in the boat. Want to know the size and bag limits where you’re fishing, the app has them. Want to find out how to tie a bimini twist? It’s got instructions. Looking for a bait shop, charter captain, or refueling marina, they’re in the map. It also allows anglers to view recent fishing reports in their area remotely, which is excellent for anglers on vacation or from out of town.
The Deeper Fish Finder is the revolutionary sonar device that projects a detailed underwater map to your mobile device or tablet via Bluetooth. Only the size of a tennis ball, the Deeper has all of the features of standard fish finders, but can be cast out from shore or mounted to a boat or kayak. The Deeper will help any angler catch more fish by giving anglers important information such as water temperatures, depths, bottom composition, fish location, weather, and more. Hands down, one of the most useful fishing apps available.
